October is Children of Foster Carers Awareness Month. They play a vital role in helping foster children adjust to their new environment. They often become a role model and form sibling-like relationships which help foster children to settle into their new home, school and to meet new friends. It's so important they are celebrated for their selfless and thoughtful role they play.
